OK, so you know the score. You've can't afford a fancy flicker-free monitor
and have to make do with the little portable telly in your bedroom you had
for your 18th. You also want to get on the web, but your browser makes you
choose between two unsatisfying alternatives:-
1. open on a non-interlaced 640x256 screen - all the pictures you
download will look stretched.
2. open on an interlaced screen - you can't read a thing because times/13
is completely illegible.
What you need is Webcleaner - fonts designed to be readable on a small
screen, yet stylish enough for everyone to use.
The archive consists of the following:
1. Six fonts (called "Webhead") used for headings.
(Point sizes: 12, 15, 17, 21, 24, 32)
2. One font (called "Webtext") used for body text.
(Point size: 15)
3. One fixed width font (called "Webfixed") used for fixed width stuff.
(Point size: 15)
4. Some text to add to your mosaic/prefs file.
The Webhead fonts (H1-H6) will be familiar to readers of the games section
of Amiga Format, while the Webtext font is based on the Frutiger typeface.
Installation is simple - just copy to your fonts: directory, and alter your
browser's preferences to suit!
"Webcleaner certainly adds a new dimension to my surfing activities!" says
top soul star Mariah Carey.*
* This bit isn't true. Obviously.
